    It’s solid! Comes with a steel cable that is 45 to 46 inches long. The cable has a loop on one end which allows for threading the “other end” of cable through it. The “other end” has a special fitting fitted to the cable end that fits a slot in the steel vault which secures the cable to it. The cable allows securing the vault to an immovable object. The vault has a four button (lighted when pushed) numbered key pad which can be programed with your own six digit combination unlocking code. Also provided, are two barrel keys which can be used in the event the batteries (user supplied) die that operate the combination lock. I also forgot to mention that is made from 16 gauge steel (.0598 inches). I believe it complies with New York State law for firearms secured within an automobile. I purchased a second one, having been pleased with the first one purchased. Also provide safe storage when minor children are in a household.
