Frankford Arsenal Hinge-Top Ammo Box 22 Hornet, 30 Carbine

I use this 504 box for my 17 Hornet and 20 Vartarg ammo. The lid is low enough that when it’s closed, if the ammo box is turned sideways or upside down, the rounds do not come out or spill into the lid. Other brands have too much head-space and they fall out of the slots. Plus, the lid is hinged, unlike the solid plastic piece which bends, and the hinge allows the lid to easily be taken out of the way when using it. The hinges that bend tend to push the lid back over the ammo, especially when it’s cold out. Lastly, the slots for the ammo are flat on the bottom, all the way to the outer edge, so each round sits fully resting on the case head. Other brands have a slight curve to the outer part on the slots, and that pushed the rounds on the periphery up slight, and pinch the case head. All around, nicely designed and thought out!
