    N150 is great powder. But, the 8 lb jug I received in Sept 2020 was dated March 2015. Very disappointing. I don’t know where Powder Valley sourced 5-year-old powder, but I hope it was stored properly the past five and a half years.

      All of our powder is sourced direct from the manufacturer. It is not atypical for an imported powder to have a manufacturer date of 2-5 years ago, especially slower moving powders like N150.

    I’ve been reloading for more than a decade and have had consistently good results from Vihtavuori powders, including (N-140, N-160, N-165 and N-170). They are consistent, temperature insensitive, easy to dispense and empty. The hole in my line up was N-150. I thought it would likely do well for middle-weight bullets in .308 Winchester. My very first formula with 168 grain “Match King” bullets over 42.2 grains VV N-150 yielded and 0.59″ average of 5 groups of 4 @100 yards. I’m a happy camper.
