    i have shot 15 and 15.5 in my dashers for 600/1000yd be, i bought the 16 as a fellow shooter has given it a try and i decided to jump in and try it too. still doing load development but so far all is good..tooo cold to contimue

    You have to trickle it when measuring but it is great powder. I am using it with the Sierra 168 gr TMK in my Remington 700 30-06 Long Range with the stock 26″ barrel. I have gotten into single digits for the ES/SD since I’ve been using this. Right now “MY” recipe is Alliant RL16 54.8 gr and either Remington, Winchester or Hornady 30-06 cases trimmed to 2.487″ , using a .307 mandrel to set final inside dimension, Dry graphite or Neolube inside case necks. I set my BTO at 2.626 which is a COAL of 3.424 , Remington #9 1/2 have been the best LR primers out the ones I have. The others are Federal 210, Federal GM215, CCI #200, CCI #34 and Tulamo LR primers. My groups at 100 yards with this load have been from the smallest 3/8″ to the largest 5/8″ consistently. I’ve tried other powders like Accurate 4350, Staball Match, Superformance and Staball 65 but Alliant RL16 has been by far the best. I don’t think I’m going to try any others for now. I recommend anyone shooting 6.5 CM, 308, 30-06 or bigger give this a try.
